A highly anticipated release, Indian Motorcycle introduced their Sport Chief on Feb. 21.

Coming with an air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 engine that produces 120 ft. pounds of torque, Indian says the Sport Chief "was purpose built from the factory to perform." The engine is paired with a 6 gear, wet clutch transmission.

Touted as Indian's "ultimate performance cruiser," the Sport Chief has KYB inverted telescopic forks, dual Fox piggyback rear shocks, 2-piston caliper rear brakes and dual Brembo 4-piston caliper front brakes. As for tires, the bike will come with Pirelli Night Dragons.

Unlike the Chief and Super Chief, the Sport Chief comes with a gunfighter style seat, improving rider position. While it is considered a solo seat, it extends over the rear fender for passengers. Indian currently offers four Sissybar packages to add passenger comfort.

Like the Super Chief, the Sport Chief comes with a windscreen. That said, the Sport Chief's windscreen is paired with a fairing to surround the headlight. Behind the fairing sits an analog gauge with a circular touchscreen -- capable of navigation, controlling ride modes, answering calls and managing music from connected Bluetooth devices.

Touted as a bike ready for customizations, Indian currently offers the Sport Chief in three different colors: black smoke, ruby smoke and stealth gray. Optional engine performance upgrades include stage 1 and stage 2 intake packages as well as stage 1 exhaust packages.

Now on the market, Indian starts the Sport Chief at $18,999. Talk to our Young Powersports Bountiful store to get your order in!
